Thomas H. ‘Bull’ Godwin Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas H. “Bull” Godwin Jr., of Bogue Chitto, are Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Smithdale, with burial at the church cemetery. Rev. Marvin Howard will officiate the services. Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, from 11 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. Godwin, 55, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born Aug. 10, 1962, in Bay St. Louis, to Mr. Thomas H. Godwin Sr. and Mrs. Becky Perkins Godwin.

He worked as a self-employed barge superintendent. He attended Mt. Zion Church in Smithdale. He was an avid hunter and had a passion for rodeo events including bull riding and steer wrestling. He was a loving companion, brother, father and grandfather.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Thomas H. Godwin Sr. and Mrs. Becky Perkins Godwin; brother, Brock Godwin, and grandson, Braxtyn Corey Coffey.

Survivors are his fiancée Monica L. Ezell; daughters, Rebecca Harris and husband Wesley, and Katelyn Godwin and fiancée Brandyn Coffey; son, Justin Godwin, and granddaughter, Kenley Harris; sister Terri Godwin Skinner and husband Eric, and a host of family and friends.
