Funeral services for Evelyn Olivia Culpepper Parker, of Brookhaven, are Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Johnson Grove Church of Christ in Brookhaven with burial at Riverwood Memorial Park. Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today, Dec. 29, 2017, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mrs. Parker, 95, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017. She was born May 12, 1922, in Pascagoula. She was a retired school teacher. She was a member of the Lincoln County Chorale and loved quilting and knitting. She had a love for her church and Sunday school class and she loved reading and studying her Bible.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Calvin B. Culpepper; husband, Earl B. Parker; son, Edward Earl Parker; daughter, Iris Ilaine Rast; sister, Lilli Mae Williams; and brothers, Harold, Marion, Shelton and Eddie Culpepper.

Survivors are her daughter, Janis Rushing and husband Darrell; son-in-law, Ronnie L. Rast; daughter-in-law, Wanda Parker; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Culpepper and Jimmie Parker; eight grandchildren, Marci Herring, Christi Melton, Eddie Parker, Scott Rast, Allen Rast, Brett Rushing and Erin Rushing; eight great-grandchildren with the youngest being her namesake, Evelyn Parker Rushing; special friends, Veronica Lawson, Consuelo Ratcliff, Marcus, Nick and Patrick Oster, Maria James, Wanda Babb, and a host of family and friends.
