Funeral services for Ella Rose Jordan, of Bogue Chitto, will be Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jordan, 86, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2018. She was born Feb. 26, 1931, to Pence W. Brown and Ola Mae Brown. She was retired from the Department of Human Services where she was a supervisor. She was very involved in the community and in the church. She participated in the WMU, LLL, Sunday school and choir. She also enjoyed sewing. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Brookhaven.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Margaret Brown and Betty Smith and husband, Alton; brothers, Hilton Brown and wife, Irene, Hansel Brown and wife, Merle and Hulon Brown and wife, Irene.

Survivors are her daughter, Deborah Davis; brothers, Robert Brown and wife, Marilyn; sisters, Katie Boyd, June Ballard, Charlotte Matthews; two grandchildren, Jennifer Clark and husband Britton, Chris Davis and wife Emily; and four great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Davis, Trent Davis, Sam Clark and Will Clark.

The family would like to extend a note of thanks to Haven Hall Healthcare Center for all their care and compassion for Mrs. Ella. We will be forever grateful for all you did.
