The Monticello Fire Department responded to a brush fire at 11:54 a.m. Thursday on Hwy. 587. No injuries were reported

The Wesson Police Department issued one speeding citation Thursday.

KDMC Ambulance report

King’s Daughters Medical Center Ambulance Service reported 22 calls Thursday. Eight were transfers, with six to Jackson, one in the city and one in the county. There were 14 emergency calls; 10 medical, with eight in the city and two in the county; two traumas in the city; and two MVAs in the city.
