Funeral services for Gregory Alan Greene, of Ruth, will be Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven at 1 p.m. with burial to follow in the Topisaw Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven. Bro. David Moree will officiate.

Visitation will be today, Feb. 6, 2018, from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m.

Mr. Greene, 64, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at his residence. He was born Dec. 16, 1953, in Houston, Texas, to Elmo Peyton Greene and Pauline Pullen Greene Brown. He was of the Baptist faith and worked for many years in the oilfield and logging industries. He enjoyed fishing and loved his dogs, Sadie and Shorty. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. There was nobody that he loved more than his children and grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Steve Greene; and grandson, Brett Greene.

Survivors are his wife, Carrie Little Greene; daughters, Amy Burket and Barb of Georgia, and Tamara Greene of McComb; sons, Chance Greene and wife, Candace, of Brookhaven, and Peyton Greene and wife, Ashley, of Ruth; stepdaughter, Jessie Kennedy of California;  stepsons, Jody and James of Brookhaven; 11 grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
