Funeral services for James Henry “Jim” Brooks, of Brookhaven, are Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Mighty God M.B. Church in Brookhaven. Burial will be Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Natchez National Cemetery. Marshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, from 1 p.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. Brooks, 73, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven. He was born Dec. 9, 1944, in Blytheville, Arkansas, to Henry and Lizzie Brooks. He was a member of Mount Bethel Lodge #6.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Robert Brooks, Ada Bedford, Edward Brooks, Joe Brooks, Burnice Conley and Henrietta Leverson.

Survivors are his loving and devoted wife, Louise Marshall-Brooks; son, Heath Brooks; stepson, Reggie Magee; stepdaughter, Sophia Woodrow; two sisters, Ruthie Brooks and Bobbie Harris-Brooks; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
