Funeral services for Mary Ella Dearman, of Quitman, formerly of Brookhaven, are Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church in Brookhaven with burial at Riverwood Memorial Park. Rev. Floyd Odom will officiate the services. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 24, 2018, from noon until time of service at the church.

Mrs. Dearman, 93, died Saturday, March 17, 2018, in Meridian at Poplar Springs Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 24, 1924, in Bude, to Rev. Matt Holland and Earlene Holland.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milton Dearman; daughter, Doris Claudette McLeod; and brother, Ernest Holland.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Joyce McLeod and husband Glen of Quitman; nephew Roy Dearman and wife Sandra; three sisters, Libby Bufford, Linda Cobb and Sybil Williams; two brothers, Rodney Holland and Jimmy Don Holland; six grandchildren, Cindy Thornhill and husband Ronnie, Daphne Walker and husband Matt, Mark McLeod and wife Chantel, Darron McLeod and wife Mary, Jennifer Bell and husband Scot, and Derrick McLeod and wife Melanie; 12 great-grandchildren, DaRon Thornhill, Shannon Thornhill, Whitney Walker Jones,  Colton Walker, Landon McLeod, Damon McLeod, Canon McLeod, Madison McLeod, Alexis Burnside, Alayna Burnside, Alivia McLeod and Graham McLeod; five great-great-grandchildren, Blakely Thornhill, Wesson Thornhill, Skylar Thornhill, Karlie Jones and Hailey Jones; and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Mark McLeod, Derrick McLeod, Landon McLeod, Damon McLeod, DaRon Thornhill, Colton Walker and Dennon Dearman.
