Funeral services for Jimmie Glenn Smith, of Brookhaven, are Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in Loyd Star. Bro. Mike Lips will officiate the services.

Visitation will be today, April 13, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith, 74, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven with his loving family by his side. He was born Feb. 21, 1944, in Brookhaven, to Garland L. Smith and Vivian Waldon Smith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but loved his family most of all.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tony Glenn Smith; and brother, John L. Smith.

Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Nita Faye Smith; sons, Bruce K. Smith, and Kevin W. Smith; daughter, Lesia Smith Falvey; brother, Jack R. Smith; grandchildren, Gaden Smith, Grant Smith, Emily Britt, Julie Smith, Casee Smith, Grayson Falvey, and Memphis Falvey; three great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
