Panthers ease through round 1 of tennis playoffs

The Brookhaven High School tennis team won the first round of playoffs 6-1. There was nothing scary about their Friday the 13th win of the season over Long Beach.
The Panthers will now host North Pike who defeated Wayne County.
Individual match results against Long Beach:
Girls singles — Sarah Grace Evans lost to Nathalie Salvador 6-4, 6-4.
Boys singles — Hayden Waldon picked up the win by forfeit.
Girls No. 1 doubles — Lea Allen/Maggie Massengill defeated Rachel Crapps/Kassidy Kippes 6-2, 6-1.
Girls No. 2 doubles — Abbigail Jones/Gracey Massengill defeated Mallorie Rishel/Emily Lyons 6-1, 6-1.
Boys No. 1 doubles — Will Moak/Daniel Panzica defeated Anderson Dulaney/Jackson Dulaney 6-0, 6-1.
Boys No. 2 doubles — Braxton Wallis/Sam Allen defeated Gavin Stalling/Samuel Shirk 6-0, 6-0.
Mixed doubles — Gray Anding/Maddie Boyte defeated John Frye/Reagan Picchi 6-1, 6-2.
