Funeral services for for Mary Viola Russum, of Georgetown, are today, April 28, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Georgetown Cemetery. Bro. Gary Harper will officiate the services.

Visitation will be today, April 28, 2018, from 1 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Russum, 77, died Sunday, April 22, 2018, in League City, Texas. She was the daughter of George and Eunice Boykin Knight. She was the loving wife of Rev. Robert Russum for 57 years and was the best pastor’s wife.

She enjoyed making crafts, including decorations for her home, jewelry, and crocheting. She also had a knack for designing, which ranged from designing buildings to backdrops for plays. She loved singing, enjoyed teaching arts and crafts to others, and was also the vacation Bible school director.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Dale Russum; and brothers, Michael Knight and Billy Knight.

Survivors are her son, Glenn Cayce Russum; daughter, Mary Katherine Russum McMahon; brothers, Harry Knight and William Knight; sisters, Faye Knight and Susie Knight; grandchildren, Aaron Russum, Taylor McMahon and MaryKate McMahon; sister-in- law, Ruby Russum; and nephew, Rusty Russum.
