Funeral services for Ronald “Ronny” Walker Sutton Sr., of Brookhaven, will be held at a later date. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sutton, 69, died Thursday, May 10, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sept. 5, 1948, to Lavenia Walker and James Harris Sutton. He is of the Baptist faith. He retired from boiler-making after 25 years and is a member of Local 110. He also spent many years driving a truck for Southwest Paving, Odee Smith, and Dickerson and Bowen. He was a hard working family man that enjoyed the little things in life. Most of his life was spent between Brookhaven, and Bogue Chitto, “Suttons Hollow” and Fairhope Alabama. He moved back to Fairhope, Alabama, where he loved the bay, his ducks and the beautiful sunsets that he call “God’s Paintings.” He donated his body to science for cancer research.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Ronald “Ron” Walker Sutton Jr.; brothers, Don Sutton, Rivers Sutton and Tommy Sutton.

Survivors are his wife, Nancy Evans Sutton; daughters, Terry Lynn Sutton and Alajuana Sutton King and husband Kelly; brothers, Jamie Dale Sutton, Richard Sutton and David Sutton; granddaughters, Hope Sutton Martin and husband Jessie, Brittany Sutton Johnson and husband James and Brie King; grandson, Tristen King; great-grandchildren, Jayson Martin, Charlie Rae Martin, Jayson Martin, Skylar Sutton and Peyton Johnson.
