Funeral services for Hester Vonice Thompson, of Monticello are today, May 25, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation was held Thursday, May 24, 2018, from 5:30 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thompson, 81, Tuesday, May 22, 2018. She was born May 28, 1936, to the late Percy Webster Howell and Mary Edna Hall Howell. She was a member of Fair River Baptist Church and she enjoyed gardening.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, Norris Thompson; daughters, Debbie Boyd and Cindy Stephens; brother, Donald Howell; sister, Louise Walker; three grandchildren, Daniel Boyd, Kristin Boyd Blaylock and Lane Stephens; and great-granddaughter, Olivia Blaylock.
