Funeral services for Geneva Wilkinson Brookman, of Brookhaven, are Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven at 11 a.m. with burial at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today, May 29, 2018, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and will resume Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at 10 a.m. and continue until time of services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brookman, 74, died Saturday, May 26, 2018. She was born on Feb. 4, 1944 to Shelton “Boy” Wilkinson and Dollie Martin Wilkinson.

Mrs. Geneva enjoyed spending her time fishing, planting, gardening, and most of all spending time with her family. She was a member and secretary of the American Legion.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Robert D. Brookman; her parents; sons, William “Bubba” Thompson and John Travis Thompson; and brothers, Wesley Wilkinson, Shelton Wilkinson, Harold Wilkinson and Travis Wilkinson.

Survivors are a son, Leslie E. Thompson (Kathy); a daughter, Angela J. Thompson Fortin (Dwayne); eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved like her own.
