A Brookhaven man was flown to a hospital Wednesday night with multiple gunshot wounds, and police arrested who they believed to be his shooter just a few blocks away.

The Brookhaven Police Department said via social media late Wednesday night KiAntrei Thomas was found at a home at 810 North Jackson St. with several gunshot wounds around 6 p.m. The suspect, Damion Wilson, was located shortly afterward at a home on Vivian Merritt Street and arrested without incident.

Thomas is being treated at a hospital in Jackson. Wilson was charged with aggravated assault.

No further information was available as of presstime. Messages left for BPD officers were not immediately returned.
