Fire reports

The Brookhaven Fire Department responded to a gas leak at 6:15 p.m. Friday on West Chickasaw Street. No injuries were reported. They performed a public assist Saturday at KDMC and responded to a medical alarm at 11:57 a.m. Saturday.  No injuries were reported.  They also responded to a smoke alarm at 7:33 a.m. Sunday at the Holiday Inn.

Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M responded to a single vehicle accident without injuries at 5:16 p.m. Friday on Hwy. 550 near the Jefferson County Line. They responded to an accident involving one vehicle without injuries at 11:33 p.m. Friday on Hwy. 583/Jolly trail.  They responded also to an accident involving one vehicle with injuries at 3:05 p.m. Saturday on Hwy. 51/Norfield road.

KDMC Ambulance report

King’s Daughters Medical Center Ambulance Service reported 36 calls Friday-Sunday. Nine were transfers, with five to Jackson, one to Pike County and one to Hattiesburg, with two in the county. There were 27 emergency calls; 17 medical, with 14 in the city and three in the county; eight traumas, with four in the city and four in the county; two MVAs in the county.
