Funeral services for Elaine Burgess Wall, of Brookhaven are Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson. Rev. John Taylor will officiate the service. Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.

A graveside service will be Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Memorial Park in Brookhaven.

Visitation will be today, July 6, 2018, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home and will continue Saturday, July 7, 2018, from 10 a.m. until time of service at Lakewood Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wall, 89, died Wednesday July 4, 2018. She was born Oct. 27, 1928, in to late Jasper Charles “JC” and Nell Womack Burgess. She exemplified the meaning of Christian wife, mother, aunt and friend. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Rev. Robert E. Wall; brothers; Jasper Charles II “JR” (Thannette), David (Dorothy) and Carroll “Pot” (Gretchen).
Survivors are her children, Bruce Wall and Amy Wall; and grandson, Robert Ogden. 

The Wall family requests memorials in Mrs. Wall’s honor to be made to the Baptist Children’s Village.
