Funeral services for James William Moore Jr., of Brookhaven were held Monday, July 16, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Union Church Cemetery.

Visitation was held Sunday, July 15, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Moore, 81, died Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Forrest General Hospital. He was born April 21, 1937, to the late James William Moore Sr. and Stella Lee Twiner Moore. He was retired as a machinist and was a member of Union Church Presbyterian Church and will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Lea O’Neal; brother, Ernest Moore; nephew, Melvin O’Neal; and niece, Sandy Simpson.

Survivors are his sons, Tim Moore, of Brookhaven, Kevin Moore, of Pasadena, Texas; daughters, Michelle Moore and Cindy Goff and husband, Mike, of Pasadena, Texas; sister, Ruby Simpson and husband, James; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; nephews, George O’Neal, Jimmy Moore and Bobby Moore; and niece, Amy Heard.
