Funeral services for Jimmie Lee “Tuddy” Byrd, of Wesson, are today, Aug. 3, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Old St. John Missionary Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery. Pastor Wyatt Lewis will officiate the services. Marshall Funeral Home in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was held Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, from 5 until 7 p.m. at the church and will continue today, Aug. 3, 2018, from 1 p.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. Byrd, 79, died Monday, July 30, 2018, at Pine Crest Guest Home in Hazlehurst. He was born April 2, 1939, to Joseph Byrd and Carrie Byrd.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Michael Daniel Byrd and Travis Lonell Byrd; one daughter, Theresa Nell Flowers; three brothers, Ernest, Bobby and Joe Parker Byrd; two sisters, Selma Lee Byrd and Doreatha Ailes.

Survivors are his wife, Rose Mary Byrd; children, Tracy Lee Byrd, Jimmie (Sandra) Byrd, Patricia Ann Killingsworth, Gregory (Janice) Byrd, Audrey Jones, Johnnie Ray Byrd and Stephanie (Mack) Howard; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
