Chris and Lynn Burke announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Paige Smith of Brookhaven, to Christopher Viramontez Jr., of Wesson.

He is the son of Christopher Viramontez Sr. and Teresa Ford-Viramontez.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Lee E. and Julia Walters of Laurel, Gerald Burke of Wesson and the late Etta Burke.

She is a 2012 graduate of Brookhaven High School and a 2016 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at King’s Daughters Medical Center.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Sherry Blankenship of Friendship, Wisconsin; Jim and Lina Ford of Eutaw, Alabama; and C.S. “Bubba” and Babs Wood of Crystal Springs.

He is a 2014 graduate of Wesson Attendance Center and attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He is enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at 7 p.m. at the Historic Wesson School.

A reception will follow. The couple will reside in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
