Gillette ‘Jill’ Johnson

Funeral services for Gillette “Jill” Johnson, of Crystal River, Florida, and longtime resident of Roxie, are Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville with burial at the Roxie City Cemetery. Rev. Pat Sullivan, Rev. Hollis McGehee and Rev. Jamie Wallace will officiate the services.

Visitation will be today, Aug. 9, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Johnson, 79, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018, at Hospice of Citrus in the Nature Grove, Lecanto, Florida, with her loving family by her side. She was born Nov. 19, 1938, in Switzerland. She loved all animals and especially her puppies. She enjoyed caring for her flowers and plants. She enjoyed traveling around the USA as well as places around Europe. She never met a stranger and loved to spend time with her many friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband of 21 years, William C. Johnson; four daughters, Beth Sawyers and husband, Terry, of Raleigh, North Carolina, Kathy Smith and husband, Albert of Benton, Louisiana, Cindy Jones and husband, Gary of Meadville, Lisa Baldwin and husband, Arnold of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; three sons, Eric Ramsey and wife, Wendy, of Palmetto, Florida, Cooper Johnson and wife, Marylyn of Martin, Tennessee, and William “Willam” Johnson and wife, Brenda, of Sanford, North Carolina; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
