No one was injured when a Waste Pro truck caught fire shortly before noon Friday while rolling through Loyd Star. The driver was headed east on Hwy. 550 just before Loyd Star Attendance Center when someone spotted the flames. Lincoln County Fire Coordinator Clifford Galey said it appears the brakes caught fire and burned two tires and the side of the truck. Workers replaced four back tires so the truck could be moved.
