Alabama man wanted in girlfriend’s killing found dead in Mississippi
MERIDIAN, Miss. (AP) — Police say a man suspected in the killing of his girlfriend has been found dead in Mississippi.
Lauderdale County Coroner Clayton Cobler tells The Meridian Star that Randall Walker was found dead in a truck Aug. 31. The coroner says Walker died from a heart attack.
Haleyville, Alabama police Lt. Tim Steien says Walker was a suspect in the death of Vicky Denise Howton-Liverett, who was found in a bedroom closet Aug. 31.
Steien says Walker and Howton-Liverett had been living together up until the time of the killing and that they did not seem to have a history of abuse.
An investigation into the woman’s death is ongoing.
