Bobcats bite the Wildcats in 43-22 win

The Bogue Chitto Bobcats (2-3) grabbed their second consecutive victory with a 43-22 win over the Salem Wildcats (1-4) in Walthall County on Friday night.

Jermaine “Trooper” Black got the Bobcats on the board in the first quarter with a 20-yard touchdown run. Black would add another score in the second quarter from one-yard out.

Bobcat quarterback Shaw King rushed for one score and threw for two more scores.

Bogue Chitto also got a rushing touchdown from Bryce Langley and a 79-yard interception return touchdown by junior defensive back Zach Upkins.

“For most of the game our defense played exceptional,” said Bobcats head coach Gareth Sartin. “Our line did a great job blocking and we were able to capitalize on some big passing plays. It was a really good team win.”

Bogue Chitto looks to keep their winning streak going next week when they host St. Patrick.
