James Lowery ‘Larry’ Dunn

Funeral services for James Lowery “Larry” Dunn, of Brookhaven, are Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, at 3 p.m. at New Prospect Baptist Church in Brookhaven with burial at the church cemetery. Bro. Willie Welch and Bro. Jim Mannon will officiate the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be today, Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, from 2 until time of service at the church.

Mr. Dunn, 77, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital in Meadville with his loving family at his side. He was born Jan. 25, 1941, in Brookhaven to James Ira Dunn and Elsie Lee Bowman Dunn. He was retired from Kelley-Coppedge Inc. Oil Field Construction. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening and farming his land and cattle and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Preceding him in death was his wife of 40 years, Shirley Jean West Dunn; parents; brothers, Lemuel Kirby Dunn and Carroll Bruce Dunn; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Dunn.

Survivors are his daughter, Susan Leigh Adams and husband, Andy; son, James

Carl Dunn, both from Brookhaven; grandson, Tyler James Adams; and a host of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in James L. Dunn’s name may be made to Baptist Children’s Village.
