Funeral services for Robert Lee Thompson are Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Spring Beulah Church of Christ (Holiness) with burial at Collins Grove Church Cemetery in Summit. Bishop Raymond Captville will officiate the services. Peoples Undertaking Co. in McComb is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be today, Oct. 12, 2018, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church in McComb and continuing Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, from 9 a.m. until time of service at Spring Beulah Church of Christ (Holiness.)

Bishop Thompson, 90, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, at his residence. He was born July 8, 1928, to Jesse and Leona Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Robert Lee Thompson Jr.; and four brothers, J.W, Deamus, Samuel Thompson and McCoy Weathersby.

Survivors are his devoted wife, Sarah N. Thompson; five daughters, Sharon (Michael) Williams, Kathleen (Charles) Downs, Salena Robinson, Loretta Conerly and Madelyn Jackson; one sister, Jessie Lee Jackson; eight grandchildren, Monica (Michael) Tate, Dion (Bettea) Thompson, Adrian Downs Cornell and Sara Lynn Washington, Andrea Smith, Jessica Thompson and Kevin (Jessica) Austin; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews; other relatives; dear friends and church families.
