MHP, BFD, Ambulance service work multiple wrecks over weekend

Highway patrol reports

Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M reported four wrecks Saturday: a one-vehicle wreck with no injuries at 4:59 a.m. on I-55 southbound, south of exit 38; a two-vehicle wreck with no injuries at 1:32 p.m. on Hwy. 51 by Riverwood Family Funeral Service; a two-vehicle wreck without injuries at 4:21 p.m. on Hwy. 27 S at Bethel Road; and a one-vehicle wreck with no injuries at 856 p.m. on I-55 southbound between exits 40 and 42.

Brookhaven Fire Department reported a one-vehicle wreck with injuries at 10:33 a.m. Friday on Hog Chain Road. Firefighters responded to a fire in the Brookhaven High School auditorium Sunday at 1:30 p.m. An electrical light shorted out. The fire was put out with a fire extinguisher. Also on Sunday at 7:58 p.m., a vehicle fire was reported at Blue Sky convenience store on Brookway Boulevard.

Copiah County reports

Wesson Police Department made a felony warrant arrest for aggravated domestic violence, issued a disturbance of the peace warrant and a citation for an expired tag. There was also a report of vandalism.

KDMC Ambulance reports

King’s Daughters Medical Center Ambulance Service reported 44 calls Friday-Sunday. Thirteen were transfers to Jackson. There were 31 emergency calls; 24 medical, with 19 in the city and five in the county; two traumas, with one in the city and one in the county; and five MVCs, with three in the city and two in the county.
