Chelsea King of Brookhaven and Lonnie Baggett of Monticello announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

She is the daughter of Fred and Etta King of Brookhaven. She is the granddaughter of the late James Lambert and the late Mary Jane Elizabeth King.

He is the son of Lonnie Jenkins and Jennifer Baggett of Monticello. He is the grandson of the late Mae Ethel Baggett and the late Darlene Jenkins.

The bride-elect is a 2011 graduate of Enterprise Attendance Center, a 2013 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College and a 2016 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. She is employed as a social worker at Boswell Regional Center.

The prospective groom is a 2004 graduate of Lawrence County High School. He is employed at the Mississippi Adolescent Center.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, at 1 p.m. in Monticello, with a reception immediately following.
