Funeral services for Aubrey S. Allen, of Brookhaven, are Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Brookhaven with burial at the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Bro. Zach Kilpatrick and Bro. James Conley will officiate the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. Allen, 87, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, at home with his loving family by his side. He was born Sept. 11, 1931, in Copiah County, to George O. Allen and Susie Bell Kimble Allen. He enjoyed helping others and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was a longtime deacon at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, he served in the US Army during the Korean War, and was a 25 year employee of Campbell Express (66) trucking company.

Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Aubrey Keith Allen; and brother, Hugh Allen.

Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Earline Newell Allen; daughters, Lynn Chapman and husband, Charles, Annice Crosby and husband, Cecil, and Renita McDonald and husband, Tony; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers; one brother-in-law; and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to express their appreciation for Mr. Aubrey’s special caregiver, Marguret Brown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. Allen’s name may be made to the Mt. Zion food pantry or building fund.
