Loyd Star alum Lesley Walker was chosen to compete in the MACJC Soccer All-Star Game. A sophomore at Southwest Mississippi Community College, Walker played as a midfielder, starting in all 28 matches in her two-year career in Summit. As a freshman, she scored three goals and had two assists and was named NJCAA All-Academic First Team. Walker also received the FCA Bill Buckner Character Counts Award. She was scheduled to suit up for the game at Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland, but this year’s event was canceled due to bad weather and poor field conditions.
