Funeral services for Sidney Bethel Bryant, of Summit are Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Montgomery Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery. Riverwood Family in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be today, Nov. 29, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood Family and will continue Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. Bryant, 91, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, at the VA Hospital in Collins. He was born April 12, 1927, and he served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a telegraph operator and clerk for ICRR. He was a member of the Summit Masonic Lodge #231. He was also an ordained baptist deacon and a member of Montgomery Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening and making bread and jelly.

Preceding him in death are his wife, Ruth Wallace Bryant; parents, Bethel and Mildred Bryant; brothers, Thomas Bryant and Jack Bryant; and sister, Christine Ingram.

Survivors are his son, Tommy Bryant; daughters, Gloria “Peanut” Moak and husband, David and Teresa Perriraz and husband, Gene; sister, Catherine Dawson; 10 grandchildren, Thomas Wayne Bryant, William Bryant, Kimberly West, Michelle and Caleb Pippenger, Shelly and Brian Hollimon, Christy and Charley Clark, Chasity and Gary Lutrick, Sarah and Thomas Thieme, Phillip Perriraz and Benjamin Perriraz;. and 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; special niece, Shirley Crosby; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
