Funeral services for Cecil Allen Pepper, of Summit, are Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at noon at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home in McComb with burial at Hollywood Cemetery. Rev. John Bowlin will officiate the services.

Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Mr. Pepper, 90, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born May 8, 1928, in Bellefontaine, to Howell M. and Ruby Vaughn Pepper.

He was a retired millworker, member of East McComb Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jessie L. (Jerri) Goings Pepper; one daughter, Libby J. McMullen; three brothers, George Pepper, Everette Pepper and Stanley Pepper; and one sister, Evelyn Andrews.

Survivors are his two sons, Allen Pepper (Verla) and Harold R. Melton (Judy); one daughter, Ann Van Norman (Kenneth); one sister, Sandra K. Sisson; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Godwin, Stein McMullen, Randy Dale, Lance Dale, Brian Clark and James Dale.
