LYMAN (AP) — Sheriff’s deputies in south Mississippi have rescued a man and his small dog from a pickup truck that overturned in a pond.
The Sun Herald reports the wreck happened Tuesday night in rural Harrison County.
The county’s fire chief, Pat Sullivan, says the truck was “mostly submerged” when two deputies went under water to pull out the man and the dog.
The man had minor injuries. The dog was wet and shivering but appeared not to be hurt.
