A private family service will be held today, Feb. 2, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto with burial at the church cemetery. Bro. Van Windom and Bro. Hal Hatten will officiate the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Infant Gavin Russell McCaffery, newborn son of Caleb and Jodi Brister McCaffery, was born Jan. 23, 2019, at  2:35 p.m. at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson along with his twin brother, Corbin Alan. Gavin was held in the loving arms of his parents for one hour before peacefully going to sleep, and then waking in the arms of Jesus.

He is survived by his parents; twin brother; two older brothers, Owen and Hayden McCaffery; grandparents, Calvin and Sharon McCaffery, and David and Susie Stewart; uncle, Casey McCaffery; aunts, Leanne Douglas (Chris), Amanda Brent and Sonya Boyd (Lonnie); numerous cousins, and extended family who already loved him.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of fetal medicine at University of Mississippi Medical Center; Dr. Rachel Morris, Brookhaven OBGYN; Dr. Steven Mills; and their loving church family of West McComb Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be uncle Casey McCaffery and uncle Lonnie Boyd. Honorary pallbearers are Cousin Clay Boyd, and brothers Owen, Hayden, & Corbin.
