Funeral services for Benji Peavy, of Monticello, are Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in Lincoln County. Bro. Scott Johnson will officiate the services.

Visitation will be today, Feb. 7, 2019, from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Peavy, 50, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, at his residence in his “Happy Place.” He was born April 25, 1968, in Brookhaven, to Conley Peavy and Peggy Pennington Peavy. He enjoyed playing with his grandbabies, fishing and hunting, mechanic work, farming (especially his chickens and cows), spending time outdoors, helping people in need, playing guitars, watching westerns and spending time with his wife and children. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving husband, father, Pawpaw and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife of 29 years, Beverly Lambert Peavy; sons, Joe Peavy and wife, Audrey (Miss Audrey), Tanner Peavy and wife, Brittany (Stalker), Jesse Peavy and Josie Hall (Shortcake); grandbabies, Benjimin, Joselyn, Cohan, Zara, and James Peavy; and a host of nieces and nephews, family members and friends.
