BHS Hardwood Club holds awards banquet

The Brookhaven High Hardwood Club held its awards banquet Monday night at the FEMA Building. Awards presented by coach Preston Wilson to the Lady Panthers included: Dymonde Washington, Defensive Player of the Year; Cynphoni Thompson, Academic Award; Tamia Stallings, Rebounding Award; Ashanti Louis, Playmaker Award; Yacoruna Braxton, Miss Hustle; Ayanna McNairy, All-Region 6-5A; Miyah Miller, Most Improved; Silentianna Collins, Offensive Player of the Year; Keyana Benjamin, Panther Award; and DeNaejah Williams, Newcomer of the Year. Collins, Louis and Stallings were all also named All-Region 6-5A. Collins, Louis, McNairy and Thompson were named to the 6-5A All Tournament Team, as well.
