No bomb found on Brookhaven High School campus this morning, officials said

The campus of Brookhaven High School has been cleared by Mississippi Highway Patrol and Brookhaven police, and students returned to class following a bomb threat.
No device or threat was found on the campus, officials said.
Police secured the campus on East Monticello Street after a call of a possible bomb, said school spokeswoman April Clopton.
“At approximately 7:20 this morning an unknown caller contacted 911 to say there was a bomb at BHS,” the district said in a statement.
Students were directed to the football field while the authorities searched the campus.
“The first concern of the Brookhaven School District is the safety of our students,” Clopton said.
Brookhaven Police Sgt. Jonathan Alford piloted the department’s drone over the buildings on campus.
“They’ve got the students out on the football field and they’re just taking every precautionary method that they can there to assess the situation and take all threats seriously,” Mayor Joe Cox said.
Police Chief Kenneth Collins said officers searched the schools Monday night after an apparent threat, but did not find anything.
Another threat was made this morning, he said.
State testing was scheduled for today but has been rescheduled for Wednesday.
The high school gymnasium is also a polling place for the Brookhaven School District’s special bond election, which is going on today until 7 p.m.
“Thank you MHP and BPD for your help. Also, thank you to our parents who allowed us to follow protocol in maintaining the safety of all of our students in this unexpected event,” Clopton said.
