Funeral services for Mr. Charlie Wesley “C.W.” McCaa Jr. will be on Monday, Aug. 19, 2019, at Sarepta Baptist Church in Meadville, Mississippi, at 1 p.m., with burial to follow in the Sarepta Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Web Armstrong will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019, from 5 until 8 p.m. and resume at Sarepta Baptist Church, Monday, Aug. 19, 2019, from noon until time of service at 1 p.m.

Mr. McCaa, 80, of Meadville, passed from this life on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019, at Diversicare-Golden Living Center in Brookhaven, Mississippi. He was born on Feb. 24, 1939, in Franklin County, Mississippi, to Mr. Charlie McCaa Sr. and Mrs. Mittie Ezell McCaa.

C.W., as his friends called him, proudly served our nation as a soldier in the United States Army. He was a member of Sarepta Baptist Church and worked as a press operator at Croft Metals. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Charlie Sr. and Mittie McCaa; brother, James McCaa; and sisters Dorothy Upton and Christine LeBlanc.

Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Mrs. Essie McCaa; daughter, Theresa Cothren and husband Rex of Meadville; sons Curtis McCaa and wife Sue of Meadville, and Anthony and wife Stephine of Meadville; sisters, Maxine Foy and late husband James of Fayette, Betty McCaa and late husband Clyde of Texas, Mildred Rankin and husband, Patrick of Madison, Alabama, Billie Jean Freeman and late husband Dudley of Golden Meadows, Louisiana; brothers, Rayford McCaa of Fayette, Doyle McCaa and wife Lula of Summit, Jim McCaa and wife Georgia of Zachary, Louisiana; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers are Simon Emfinger, Chad McCaa, Roland Herrin, Danny Ried, Daniel Sullivan and Matthew Sullivan.
