The West Lincoln Bears picked up their second straight win with a 41-21 victory in Hattiesburg over Sacred Heart Catholic.
Coach Brad Bland and his Bears led 21-0 at halftime.
“We didn’t close the game as well as I would have liked,” said Bland. “We subbed some guys in and Sacred Heart broke some big runs on us to pull within 34-21 at one point.”
West Lincoln got a big night from their running back duo of Michael Brothern and Enrico Price. Brothern rushed for four scores and Price added two touchdowns.
“Our offensive line controlled the line of scrimmage,” said Bland. “We dominated up front and our running backs had big holes to run through all night.”
Next up for WL is a home game Friday against the Puckett Wolves.
