(AP) — Local news stations say a 25-year-old Mississippi Delta man suspected in a fatal shooting has turned himself in to authorities.

According to online jail records, Marquis Lane was booked into Tunica County jail Sunday night. Lane is accused in the slaying of 40-year-old James Payno, who was found dead earlier in the day at an apartment complex in Robinsonville. Investigators haven’t said what led to the shooting.

It’s unclear whether Lane has seen a judge or has a lawyer representing him.
