The funeral service for Mr. Billy Gene Wallace, of Brookhaven, Mississippi, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019, at Victory Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.

Visitation is from 5 until 8 p.m., Monday, Oct 7, 2019, at Riverwood Family in Brookhaven and will resume Tuesday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Wallace, 79, passed from this life Oct. 6, 2019, at his residence. He was born Dec. 2, 1939, to his parents, Lonnie Wallace and Nettie Reed Wallace. He was employed in the oilfield industry as a driller and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Mr. Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 10 half brothers and sisters.

Those who are left behind to cherish his memory are, his wife, Bonnie Hutcherson Wallace; son, Dr. David Wallace; daughters, Shirley Wallace, Amy Wallace Waldon, and Terri Wallace; sister-in-law, Minnie Wallace;  and six grandchildren, Jessica Reeves, Dwayne Reeves, Carlye Waldon, Hayden Waldon, Grayson Smit, and Griffin Smith. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Kai Leonard, Nikola Reeves, Jacoby Reeves, Bradley Reeves and Kinsley Reeves; as well as other loving family members and friends.

The family would like to say a special “thank you” to Hospice Ministries and Kathy Sutton and to the one person we could not have made this journey without, Evelyn Williamson.
