Funeral services for Mr. Chester Lee Smith are at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019, at Willie Mae Tyler Memorial Chapel in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, from noon until 6 p.m. at R.E. Tyler Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith, age 55, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi.

He was born in Wesson, Mississippi, to the late Earlean Whitfield Smith and Melvin Smith Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtis B. Stewart Smith; children Marcus Jackson, Courtney Smith, Chelsey O. Smith and Jacoby Nelson; two stepsons, Durell McNulty and Daniel L. McNulty III; sisters, Susan Stephens (Frank), Hattie Smith Robinson and Mary Jane Smith, two grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
