Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Ruth Thetford Currie of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2019, at Riverwood Family with burial at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Copiah County.

Visitation is Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will resume Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Betty Ruth Thetford Currie, 86, went to be with her Lord on Oct. 24, 2019, at her residence.

She was born on March 6, 1933, to the late Walter Lee Thetford and Ruth Furr Thetford.

Mrs. Currie was a member of Easthaven Baptist Church and retired as a secretary for Bell South. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, entertaining friends and family, cooking, reading, home computing and attending church events.

She will be missed by all that love and knew her.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Don Currie; sisters, Christine Boren, Frances Del Rosso; and brother, Walter Ray Thetford.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Alan Currie and wife, Angie; daughter, Donna Currie Becker; and her five grandchildren, David Wheeler, Kelly Wheeler, Madison Currie, Ellie Currie and Lauren Currie.
