Funeral services for Annie Pearl Henderson of Brookhaven, Mississippi, is Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, at 11 a.m. at New Hope M.B. Church in Brookhaven, with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, from 1 until 6 p.m. at Williams Mortuary in Brookhaven.

Mrs. Henderson, 85, died Jan. 13, 2020, at her residence. She was born June 16, 1934, in Norfield, Mississippi, to Leroy Carter and Jessie Mae Crossley Carter.

She was a graduate of the Lincoln County Training School and retired from King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was a member of New Hope M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Henderson; a brother, Henry “Billy” Carter; a son, Ronald Henderson; and a son-in-law, Calvin Carter.

Survivors include four sons, Willie Henderson and wife, Kong Sil, of Lawton, Oklahoma, Donald Henderson and wife, Henrietta, of Lake Wales, Florida, Leroy Henderson and wife, Chris, of Lakeland, Florida, and Ephraim Henderson and wife, Silva, of Brookhaven, Mississippi; three daughters, Griselda Henderson of Inglewood, California, Pamela Henderson of Brookhaven, and Barbara Carter of Brookhaven; four brothers, L.C. Carter of Rialto, California; Jimmie Carter of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi, Harper Carter of Gulfport, Mississippi, and Paul Carter of San Diego, California; sisters Laverne Hackett, of Los Angeles, California, Glenda Hudson, of Los Angeles, Gail Mitchell of San Diego, Linda Carter of San Diego, Paulette Royal of San Bernardino, California; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
