James Bridges

Funeral services for James Bridges, of Brookhaven, Mississippi, are Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Brookhaven, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Brookhaven. Williams Mortuary in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, from 1 until 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Family hour will be 6:30 until 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Bridges, 50, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, in Navasota, Texas. He was born Oct. 18, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois, to Troy Charles Campbell and Betty Jean Bridges.

Bridges was a 1989 graduate of Wesson Attendance Center. He was a heavy machine operator for Sterling Access Solutions.

Preceding him in death were his father and a brother, Tommy Lee Campbell.

He is survived by his wife, Mia Perry Bridges; mother; one brother, Joe Campbell; two sisters,  Tina Campbell and Tammy Campbell; seven children, Jada Campbell, Keyshawn Ferdinand, Alauren Mitchell, Jabari Grayson, Lonnie Lenior, Lonnieshia Lenior and LaSharon Maye; four nieces, Marquitta Campbell, Breanna Maye, Alicia Campbell and Shameka Campbell; four nephews, Joshua Campbell, Terrance Maye, Byron Maye and Terry Maye; special friend, Chance Ivy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
