Funeral services for Mr. J. C. Treadway, of McCall Creek, Mississippi, are Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020, at 3 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church, Monroe, Mississippi, with burial at Burnett-McGhee Cemetery. Pastor Robert Fleming will officiate. Marshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is from 2 until 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020, at New Bethel Baptist Church.

Mr. Treadway, 66, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at University of Mississippi Medical Center, in Jackson, Mississippi. He was born Aug. 16, 1954, in Natchez, Mississippi, to Samuel Charles Treadway and Mary Irene Bee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Selma C. Treadway; and his stepfather, Eugene “Buddy” Magee.

He is survived by one son, J.C. Treadway Jr.; one daughter, Sabrina Bee; two sisters, Mary L. Adams and Rose M. Dunn; four grandchildren, Jasmine Treadway, Trinity Treadway, Brittney Treadway and Chelsea Moore; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
