Mrs. Sheila Steckler Turner, 57, of Midland, Texas, formerly of Brookhaven, Mississippi, passed from this life on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020, in Odessa, Texas.  She was born on Dec. 31, 1962, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Albert David Oakman Sr. and Ruby Jewell Fairchild Oakman. She was a caregiver who loved caring for elderly people, as well as gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Preceding her in death were her father, Albert David Oakman Sr.; and son, Aaron Jewel Steckler.

Survivors are her mother, Ruby Oakman; husband, Mitch Turner; daughter, Danielle Steckler (Michael Bardwell Jr.); son, Eric Steckler Jr. (Cassie Rawling); grandchildren, Christian Steckler and ArryAnna Rushing; sisters, Juanita Weaver and her husband John, Kelly Kohnert and husband Trent, Ginger Brown and husband Danny, and Angie Wallace and husband Terry; brother, Albert David Oakman Jr.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at a later date in a private family cemetery.
