Mrs. Mattie “Punch” Garrett Smith, 89, of Brookhaven went to be with her Lord on March 26, 2020, at her residence.

She was born on September 21, 1930, to the late George Byron Garrett, and Ruby Little Garrett.

Mrs. Mattie was a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, sewing, spending time with her grandchildren and family and she loved flowers.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Shelton V. Smith, daughter, Janice Lynn Smith, brothers, Jessie Willard Garrett, George Byron Garrett Jr. and Joseph E. Garrett.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Judy Adams and husband, Jimmy, Kathy McGehee and husband, Robert Earl and Debbie Smith.

She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren, Kim Adams Keene and husband Ronnie, Dana McGehee Moak and husband Dwayne, Chae Richardson and wife, Nikki; 7 great-grandchildren, Kaylee Beth Keene, Madison Moak, Brady Richardson, Brooke Richardson, Ty Montague, Derek Keene and Christian Keene.
