BPD asks for donations for storm-struck communities
Brookhaven Police Department Chief Kenneth Collins announced Monday afternoon that the department would be delivering supplies to the areas of Lawrence and Walthall counties struck by tornadoes Easter Sunday.
“Lawrence County Deputy Robert Ainsworth and his wife Paula lost their lives in the storms. Robert deeply cared about the people and communities he lived and worked. As an honor to him, we will be collecting items for the community to help them along the path to recovery,” Collins said.
Anyone who would like to donate items is asked to drop them at BPD or to contact Detective Jonathan Alford.
