Good news for those who have been concerned about renewing licenses during the COVID-19 crisis.

Anyone whose driver’s license, learner’s permit, intermediate license, firearm permit, security permit or ID card was set to expire in the time period from March 14 until June 30 now has until Aug. 3 to renew those licenses and permits.

Gov. Tate Reeves signed an order this week to extend the deadlines due to national and state emergencies, limited in-person interaction and the temporary closing of various government entities, making them unable to offer certain services to the public.
