Power is out for much of downtown Monticello after an auto accident this morning at the corner of FE Sellers Highway and Broad Street.

Entergy workers are on site working on the problem. The office of Mayor Martha Watts has been informed it may be 4 p.m. before power in the downtown area is restored.
